Alex Darr is originally from Northern California, but currently resides in Hillsboro with her husband and her Chihuahua mix Franklin D. Woofsevelt. She is often seen late at night in the studio, and is a habitual night owl. She has a bachelor’s degree from CSU Sacramento in both Art and Anthropology.
Alex is primarily a ceramicist, and creates figurative hand built sculptures. In addition, she has also been a metal smith for 15 years and also dabbles in drawing, painting, and photography. Most of her art is about storytelling and fantasy with a touch of humor and would describe her art as finding the unexpected and enjoying the moment.
