Pat’s recent work is inspired by 37 years of marriage to her husband, a native of Southern India, and their frequent travels to the India subcontinent.
Pat works on wood panel, layering plaster, paint, brass and wax to create a textural surface reminiscent of worn fabric, tarnished brass, and faded surfaces.
After a career teaching special education and raising her family, Pat returned to school to pursue a formal study of art. She earned her Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Painting and Drawing from the Oregon College of Art and Craft in 2009, and subsequently became a member of Sequoia Gallery + Studios. Pat invites you to visit her at Sequoia Art Studio #2 where she creates her art.
