Lieta Gratteri

Lieta’s joy in painting is to capture a feeling and have others feel it. One series of Caribbean fishing people and their hard work sings with color, texture and atmosphere. She is also drawn to European structures and architecture with their beauty built by bare hands, a beauty that can never be replaced. It all tells a story she wants to share with others.

Lieta learned to paint at the Walters Cultural Arts Center in Hillsboro Oregon. While managing a garden center, which she loves, Lieta works very hard to fit painting into her busy schedule.  Her main loves are structures, landscapes, colors, and she is also including people in her works.
